Don K Has anyone ever dominated the camera as did Simone Signoret? Every scene, angle, take, she is breathtaking—the consummate foil to Alain DeLong's commanding good looks. Well honed script and credible story. Slowly paced enough to give each of the main actors ample room to play their characters and to ably and artfully exercise their skill. Confidently directed and insightfully cast—well worth the cost of admission. For its craft, setting (a village in Doubs, France), ambience (cold—it's always snowing), and slice of French village life, it's memorably special. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/23 Full Review Aveline T Poignant social commentary about the rural urban tensions in a changing world. Thought provoking and stellar performances by Delon and Signoret. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
