Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard It is astonishing how much white heat is generated by the conversations that follow, and 45 year old documentary maker Sebastien Lifshitz is to be congratulated for selecting such a special bunch. Rated: 3/5 Jul 12, 2013 Full Review Xan Brooks Guardian Gives a face to the unseen and a voice to the inaudible, spinning a sedate, respectful account of the gay rights movement as experienced by its foot soldiers. Rated: 3/5 Jul 11, 2013 Full Review David Jenkins Little White Lies Passionate people speaking openly about their lives and loves, it's stirring stuff. Rated: 3/5 Jul 11, 2013 Full Review Tom Dawson The List A beautifully assembled film which pays close attention to nature and judiciously incorporates black and white photographs and home movie footage alongside its interviews. Audience Member An honest and positive documentary about homosexuality and the lives of those affected by intolerance and hate throughout the 70's in France. Cheerful but yet forgettable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Specialist interest, talking heads documentary about the older gay community in France. It is too much on a micro scale hinting at the wider community. Interesting enough but lack depth and insight. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great documentary film. As gay people a lot of us really do worry about being old and lonely. This is a side we don't hear from often. The people involved have some great stories and a few are hilarious characters!! It could have done with being edited better I thought, but definitely worth a watch. Hilarious moments in it ;) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a documentary, about 70+ yo homo/ bisexual. And their lives, past and present, and their loves. It's so sweet. It's so full of wisdom. It doesn't rush and takes the time to know the people, to let them talk, to see them live. It's very respectful and avoid voyeurism. It's poetic, emotional, funny. But it never forgets it's cinema, the shots, the lights, the landscapes, the cut. I want to watch it again. I want to meet these people. I want to be like them at their age. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member a great snapshot of "gay" of the past, and an even greater glimpse of the future for gays of today. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
