Yes, the movie can be pretty campy at times but I have always loved this movie! Whenever I see it, it picks up my mood with its positive can do spirit. I love all the actors and the characters they played, it is a cult classic in my book.

4 of 5 Stars, only because I don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect movie... HOWEVER... this film is definitely up there. A far fetch scenario but "You Never Know" and isn't that what the movies are for, to escape reality and make some dreams come true for viewing pleasure. Dreyfuss is outstanding, Coltrane is lovable, Garr is marvelous and Tilly is vivacious. A gambler's dream come true of a perfect WIN day at the races. This movie maybe your longshot of choice but will at the least PLACE if you let it.

Probably not critically acclaimed but if you can't laugh at this I don't know what to say. Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid to all of us) has a great cameo. Teri Garr at her dysfunctional drunk best. Dreyfuss is gold.
