In this musical, things start to implode for movie director Ken Lane (Edmund Lowe) when his volatile Swedish star walks off the set. The desperate Lane stumbles upon Jean Kendall (Ann Sothern) in a carnival and passes her off as a Swedish actress named Sigrid. The ruse succeeds for a while until Jean is exposed by Ken's resentful fiancée, Gerry (Miriam Jordan), and Ken is fired. But Sigrid's popularity only increases, and the studio head (Gregory Ratoff) seeks a way to reunite Ken and Jean.

Audience Member good but check out the 1949 remake retitled slighty french starring the fab dorothy lamour in her first movie after leaving paramount studios. i think i like that version better than this one. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
