Howard Thompson New York Times Mr. Castle... has paced the film like molasses.Even so, the situation itself is beguiling and the two youngsters and the blandly wide-eyed Mr. Green sustain the tension with their pert playing, at times blithely humorous. Brad P Campy and inconsistent as it is, I kinda loved this film before ever watching it because the premise is intriguing and knowing William Castle it was bound to be entertaining. Of Castle's directorial efforts during his heyday this is one of his least-known titles. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Seen..Want to buy! Where can a person find a DVD of this movie? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member William Castle directed this uneven but entertaining black comedy. The pacing is awkward and it gets off to a slow start, but once Nigel Green's sardonic Uncle Kevin shows up, it turns into a fun - albeit ridiculous - B-movie oddity, even if it does lead to an unsatisfying ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed this one. I usually enjoy William Castle's movies. Some of them are weaker than others, but this had Nigel Green who was particularly good as Uncle Kevin. The kids are really annoying in it and I was hoping that the uncle he would succeed in killing them. I wonder if this is where Morrissey got the title idea for his Kill Uncle album. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member ooo, I'm the only person to have seen it. Well I was ill, and it seemed to be the least bad thing on telly. Two stars purely for the shark in the pool Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
