Mark Schilling Japan Times Kusabue plays this character with an infectious energy and verve. Angie may be a thin conceit and the film itself is a trifle with retread gags and formulaic drama, but Kusabue makes it all watchable. Rated: 3/5 Apr 7, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Betty B This delightfully quirky film was a cultural feast. Certainly a feel food film but with moments of brilliant observations... "lucky we're not in America because you would have been shot".... Angie is one of life's characters and when the wind blows her to a new place she manages, in her easy going way to befriend people, help some homeless and cast a beguiling spell on most around her. Reminiscent of the wonderful "Bagdad Cafe", if I was you I'd give this film a go. : ) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/25 Full Review Read all reviews
