Audience Member Alan Arkin can play the misery that is Flagg Purdy in his sleep, its the type of role he has made his own. The ensemble cast all acquit themselves well but the movie is too slight to be anything more than an OK watch one Sunday afternoon. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an independent film, not a Hollywood film. I recently had a chance to see it at the TriMedia Film Festival in Fort Collins, Colorado. It's a slow film, and slightly quirky, as is common in many independent films, but the characters are fairly well-developed characters and well-acted for the most part. As such, this is a character-driven film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Well dis was a gud movie...may be i didnt have much expectations from dis one but i had a gud time watching...Alan Arkin was brilliant..no wonder he has won an oscar..da story had not much goin on..but da over all acting was gud.. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A clever concept and some great acting but not enough of a plot to sustain itself, it dragged on through the repetition of similar events with different characters and couldn't redeem itself in the end as the attention span of an average person was too far gone. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member a nother intresting movie Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member They could have cut it by 20 minutes, but i liked the new direction its heading Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stephen Farber Hollywood Reporter Given the inherent limitations of the material, all of the actors work diligently and quite effectively. Oct 1, 2007 Full Review Lisa Schwarzbaum Entertainment Weekly Too bad the offscreen intrigue doesn't make up for what flags in Flagg. Rated: C+ Feb 7, 2007 Full Review Andy Klein Los Angeles CityBeat Dana is really the heart of the movie, giving a subtle, low-key performance. Oct 12, 2007 Full Review Sean P. Means Salt Lake Tribune Miller's affection for the Purdys... and their rustic way of life can't compensate for the script's clunky pacing and occasional moralizing. Rated: 1.5/4 Oct 5, 2007 Full Review Meg Jones Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Crusty characters, a bluegrass soundtrack and a dysfunctional family that could exist only in the minds of Hollywood screenwriters make this film more precious than real -- or funny. Rated: 2/4 Oct 4, 2007 Full Review Jeff Vice Deseret News (Salt Lake City) Alan Arkin has the enviable ability of making nearly everything he's in watchable. Sadly, Raising Flagg sorely tests that ability. Rated: 2/4 Oct 4, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews
