Josh Modell AV Club It's a good story - especially the focus on music as redeemer - but it does feel a bit too warm and fuzzy. Rated: C+ Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Chris Willman Variety Finally amounts to a feature-length EPK. Sep 14, 2019 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times With its release timed to coincide with this month's release of Gallagher's second solo album... the documentary can't help but feel like a promo piece despite providing some insightful backstage glimpses into its subject's well-publicized life. May 11, 2021 Full Review Jordan Bassett NME (New Musical Express) This comeback documentary is also, in some ways, a poison pen letter to Noel... Rated: 4/5 Apr 29, 2021 Full Review Natasha Alvar The Critical Movie Critics It just feels a little empty and pointless, and while the concert footage brings with it some liveliness, not even a cameo from David Beckham can compel me to give Liam Gallagher: As It Was another watch. Arrogant guy? sure, that why he's awesome, I don't wanna hang out with the dude, but I do wanna hear his music and his voice. He entertains me, isn't that the point?
