Rhea H Oct 7 It’s realistic in that many Moms are their kids friends. This mom literally snuggles up to her teen son, smokes with him and still clueless that he was an addict. Then blames everyone else when he OD’s. She completely falls apart after his death even neglecting her husband. Displays like this is a good example why society produces ill equipped men unable to cultivate and sustain viable relationships with women; leaving countless woman single. The film explores how each family member deals and the effect on the community. The mother also goes to great lengths to track down the source of the drug, and how she uses social media towards the end is a realistic reflection of our times online. Based on a book.
