Jay S Heartbreaking, so real, and raw.
This is one of those Docs I think everyone should watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review sam p Phenomenal. Hard hitting. Touching. Highly recommend this doco, it's an amazing piece of work. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Kyle w This film highlights just how fragile and tumultuous life is especially for those who battle with drugs and alcohol. It absolutely changed my outlook on my own life. I have been sober from drugs and alcohol for over 3 years and I was not aware of how special that is. However I am not in the clear. This film highlights the almost absolute demise of anyone who has addiction. Its almost always a death sentence however there are things to do to stay on the right path. Dilirus lost her support due to COVID and her defense was down. RIP you all absolutely helped another addict by participating in this doc. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review gareth d A very strange, difficult and mostly sad thing to watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Christina F Eye opening and intense insight into the cyclical nature of addiction and crime I truly believe everyone should watch this masterpiece that merely just conveys the perspective of a drug addict. Very refreshing as most movies that feature drug addicts revolve around assumed conceptions or the story being told from someone other than the addict. I have never stumbled across a piece that has depicted the life of addiction in such an insightful way as life of crime has done. Jon Alpert deserves a copious amount of applaud for his effort in filming this and I hope that you take 2 hours out of your day to watch this revolutionary documentary. Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com A powerful piece of work that details how communities on the edge of lawlessness and poverty were overwhelmed by drugs in the '80s and '90s, leading to cycles of addiction and violence that can become impossible to escape. Rated: 3/4 Nov 30, 2021 Full Review Carmen Paddock TAKE ONE Magazine The greatest achievement of LIFE OF CRIME 1984-2020 is the lack of judgement, moralising, or charity throughout. Alpert’s camera remains a neutral witness, as candid as its loquacious, vivacious subjects are in moments of good humour and brutality.
