Andrea Thompson Cultured Vultures The performances and direction are excellent, and if you're a Wisconsinite, there's plenty of references and tributes to the state in general. But the people who reside there are not given the same loving attention. Jan 30, 2019 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots Let's applaud the film for placing a greater focus on verbal wisecracks and refusing to use McCarthy's real world physique as a cheap punch line. Audience Member I really enjoyed this indie comedy. Actors did a great job breathing life into these characters, and of course it was hilarious. These "party" comedies are hit or miss, but I'd say this one was a hit. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member To cheer themselves up after the death of their friend, a trio decide to throw the longest party ever - turning themselves into fully fledged 24 hour party people. Michael Budd's debut succeeds in portraying repression, anxiety and grief. Because it's not about the party. The party is a much-needed distraction from the three friends' lives. Characters are initial deceptively idiosyncratic, but as the party goes on Sandra, Kray and Jason unravel, leading to a dark, unexpected final act. Wonderful cityscape shots and commendable performances from Damien Sommerlad and Christopher Kirby make for a watchable, worthy first feature. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member An amazing film! Was very funny and lighthearted, the twist at the end was not expected. It was very thought provoking. Its a great film and I would recommend watching it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
