Clyde Gilmour Maclean's Magazine Unwisely, this banal British war comedy strives for pathos as well as laughter. Nov 26, 2019 Full Review Phil Hall Film Threat A great little wartime drama starring (of all people) Benny Hill and Tommy Steele. Why isn't this gem better known? Audience Member a bunch of misfit soldiers in charge of a army searchlight station during the blitz. each soldier with his own story to tell. Great cast. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It's not the funniest of films, although there's quite a few recognisable faces for a British audience to enjoy, however there is a deliberate serious element alongside the light humour. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member An enjoyable film to watch on a lazy afternoon, but I have to say Tommy Steele's character although cute as always, wasn't the most likable really. The film itself had its funny parts and its sad parts - and ultimately is well worth watching when there is nothing else to do. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
