Victor Maddern
Victor Maddern was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Maddern began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "Terror on a Train" (1953), "The Red Beret" (1953) and the drama "The Night My Number Came Up" (1955) with Michael Redgrave. He also appeared in the comedy "Raising a Riot" (1955) with Kenneth More, the Michael Redgrave adaptation "The Sea Shall Not Have Them" (1955) and "Carrington V.C." (1955). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the dramatic adaptation "Saint Joan" (1957) with Jean Seberg, "All at Sea" (1957) with Alec Guinness and the Ian Carmichael comedic adaptation "Happy Is the Bride" (1958). He also appeared in the horror film "Blood of the Vampire" (1958) with Donald Wolfit. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Kenneth Williams comedy "Carry on Spying" (1964), the dramatic adaptation "Bunny Lake Is Missing" (1965) with Keir Dullea and the Anton Rodgers comedy "Rotten to the Core" (1965). He also appeared in "Carry on Cleo" (1965) and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (1968) with Dick Van Dyke. Maddern more recently appeared in "Voice of the Heart" (1989-1990).
