What sends Gunn’s “Superman” soaring over redundancy and overkill is the affection he feels for the Man of Steel in Corenswet’s uncalculated, cynicism-free portrait. Supie isn’t afraid to show his heart. He calls it the new punk rock. Maybe he’s right.

Fantastic. Well done. Wish it was more Superman, less Justice Gang or whatever. They were great and I understand the whole world building thing. But I want more traditional just Superman. But hey, it was great still.
