Peter Rainer FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Easily the best film I've seen from Chad... This is a very good movie. Mar 11, 2022 Full Review Joe Morgenstern Wall Street Journal Another part is the state of their own connection -- frayed by harsh circumstance and in urgent need of repair. That repair work constitutes the heart of this beautiful film. Feb 19, 2022 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News It’s an infuriating movie that will summon your own outrage. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 17, 2022 Full Review Farah Cheded A Good Movie To Watch This is a film in which acts of kindness are quietly delivered on the understanding that that’s what we owe each other, and one where sisterhood is alive — making this, paradoxically, a simultaneously enraging and heartening watch. Jason R A strong finisher https://uberscaryblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/have-you-got-any-tyres.html Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I was pleasantly surprised by the acting and the kind of story the director wants to tell. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting insight of an African community that sadly lacks the powerful emotional strikes it should have hold. There is a big lack of empathy for both the lead characters that prevent you from being totally involved or deeply moved by what is going on. And mostly it has been done more strikingly in other entries but still worth a watch if you're into world cinema and want to keep your conscience awake of what is going on in our world. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review david l Lingui offers an emotional, inspiring look into the misogyny that exists in the country of Chad and how the women are fighting together to brave through those harsh circumstances. The movie is simplistic for better and for worse, but it is especially strong at conveying a strong sense of community and how important that unity is for these women.
