Homeless drifter Felix (Leonardo Ramírez) jumps off a train to avoid an angry conductor, landing in a small town in the Argentinean countryside. He gets a job working for Roberto (Darío Levy), a loutish farmer who mistreats his wife, Mercedes (Mónica Lairana), and neglects their 8-month-old son. Felix soon grows close to the baby, and decides to take care of him after Mercedes flees. But when he brings the child to Buenos Aires with no money or job, his fortune soon spirals downward.
