A short way into the film, even after turning the sound up, we actually had to put on the subtitles for the rest of the film to understand what the big baddie brother was saying. Often even the subtitles used the word [Incomprehensible] because he either mumbled his lines or they were so badly picked up then amplified that the whole scene sounded like a balloon deflating. Great story partially ruined by rubbish sound. Made my TV speakers sound broken. A shame, considering the great acting and storyline. The narrative is very engaging and the performances were quite convincing. The cast is not spectacularly well-known, but I would highlight Joely Richardson, from Event Horizon, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Snowden, Red Sparrow, among others. Matthias Hoene doesn't have anything really amazing besides this one, but I think he did very well here. An interesting fact about this film is that on Rotten Tomatoes, at the moment, it has a 100/93%. See more Gawain D Feb 24 It was a good story; the suspense and acting were fine. However, the film was let down severely by the worst audio I have ever had the misfortune to experience in a movie. My hearing is excellent, and I have a top-tier sound system and I was steaming in UHD , but it sounded like they were talking with cotton wool in their mouths, barely audible throughout the movie. It was just terrible, terrible, poor vocal audio. In the end, turning up the volume didn't make much difference so I had to put subtitles on. Terrible sound ruined the movie and immersion, so only 2 stars. See more Read all reviews
