What to Know

Critics Consensus

Little Brother squanders the strong comic chemistry between John Cena and Eric André on a tonally unfocused script that settles for broad, low-hanging gags and recycled buddy comedy beats.

The film never quite figures out what kind of comedy it wants to be. Go to Full Review

That Cena and André are so good together is all the more striking in a movie that affords them such infrequent overlap. Go to Full Review

If Little Brother feels familiar while you’re watching it, it’s because this is a film so pre-digested that it’s as if a bird ate Twins, What About Bob? and Planes, Trains and Automobiles and then spit the contents into your mouth. Go to Full Review

There are countless films that... don’t think that a reference to Hoobastank is a joke in and of itself. That’s the drab, insipid wavelength Little Brother is unfortunately content to ride. Go to Full Review

The film’s shortcomings aren’t in the performances but the punchless material that’s fixated on anything in and around the butt cheeks. Go to Full Review

The humor in this film is crude—yet there's a sweetness to the characters and storyline that balance that out to land a satisfying comedy. Go to Full Review

Hazza F @Hazza10723 3h A complete stranger suddenly appears, acts overly familiar, and quickly becomes part of the family, while the protagonist is pushed aside—even by his own brother. His struggle to find his place, only to have it constantly taken away, feels surprisingly realistic, making it easy to sympathize with him. Because of that, the "fake brother" becomes genuinely frustrating to watch. That said, the character is not truly a bad person. His presence adds charm to the film in both positive and negative ways. The screenplay is fairly standard, and the story itself is predictable and doesn't offer anything particularly original or exciting. Overall, though, it is not a bad film. John Cena is well cast and brings the right energy to the story, helping the movie end on a satisfying note. See more Debbie A @RT34924185 6h Eric Andre is so likable in this movie. Funny, cute, with a good ending. See more Nick . @RT87646121 14h I laughed my butt off and the cast was perfect. The point is to laugh and I don’t see why others feel it needs to be so inventive. It had me emotionally attached to the characters and didn’t skip over the why behind what was going on. See more matthias S @Thescreenasvor 21h *Little Brother* has a great cast, and everyone does a solid job with what they're given. There are some genuinely funny moments sprinkled throughout, and the chemistry between the actors helps keep things entertaining. That said, the story doesn't bring anything new to the table. It's probably the most predictable movie I've watched this year. It's not bad by any means, but it had the potential to be much better, especially considering the talent involved. See more Michela S @lynnscason 1d Little Brother (2026) delivers a heartfelt story that blends emotion, family relationships, and personal growth into an engaging experience. The film explores the bond between siblings while balancing touching moments with light humor. Strong performances help bring the characters to life, making their struggles and victories feel genuine. The storytelling remains simple yet meaningful, keeping viewers invested from beginning to end. Beautiful cinematography and a warm soundtrack add depth to the emotional journey. If you enjoy character driven dramas with uplifting themes and memorable performances, Little Brother (2026) is a worthwhile watch that leaves a lasting and positive impression. See more Vincent S @Vin_E_At_The_Movies 1d I never laughed once. John Cena has to slow down and not pick every loser thrown to him. Eric Andre isn’t funny, Cena is good but this is an embarrassment.
