Jonathan L Nothing new, just an extremely well done, heartwarming childhood romance flick, one could argue one of the best. It's shot well enough, and the support cast are very good, especially Bradley Witford. However, this movie truely shines in its spot on representation of childhood, probably because, unlike other movies, they actually cast children to play CHILDREN. 90/100 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review angela g the story was good josh Hutcherson and Charlie ray did such a great job the movie was cute Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Douglas E Este é um dos melhores filmes que eu já vi. Ele descreve bem oque é está apaixonado. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Between 2 and 2.5 stars. Maybe for children is OK, but there is too much sugar everywhere. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review renaldo d A sensitive and pleasant movie to watch, despite having a very childlike script is a great entertainment Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member a very young Josh Hutcherson and Charlie Ray star in an adorable movie about unexpected first love in the big city we've all had crushes as kids, basically cluess what to do about it thinking we know everything Gabe is 10 years old and he's never actually had the feeling of being in love, he was always meant to believe that girls were gross-magnets but when he's in karate class with a girl named Rosemary suddenly he starts feeling all these complex emotions unsure how to react since this is Gabe's first romantic encounter he spends as much time with her as possible but can the both of them have a future together someday? his folks are played by Bradley Whitford and Cynthia Nixon; they're separated but still maintain a healthy relationship with their son, it's pretty much one example of love not working out that two people can be completely different from one another the movie makes the subject of love cute and innocent even if it doesn't present a truly realistic view of it at such a young age the NYC setting adds to the charm and likability of Gabe and Rosemary having all kinds of adventures together love isn't about what you say, it's about the gestures you do for someone, doing the things you wouldn't normally dream of doing, having the courage you never knew you had inside, going the extra mile even if it hurts it's a true testament as well by the time the movie ends Gabe expresses that maybe other people will come and go in our lives but we never forget our first loves a heartwarming sweet movie not just for kids learning about the complexity of the subject but for adults too wanting to remember that spark at some point in their lives Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
