Brief moments of smarter, more intricate gags tease a more engaging watch, but one that is lost in the emotionally rote version we're presented with. Go to Full Review

The problem with the film for me is... beyond that joke, about yeah the attack is happening in a petting zoo, there really isn't that much to entertain. Go to Full Review

Firmly in the tradition of Shaun of the Dead but with a dash of School of Rock, this joyously irreverent horror comedy bursts with barbs, gags and gore galore. Go to Full Review

It might not be for everyone, and your enjoyment of the film could be judged by how much you like Josh Gad's performance. But for me, this was an absolute trip that I could see myself going on again and again like a lot of other films of its style. Go to Full Review

Kyle C @kylekc Oct 13 This movie absolutely rules. The first 30 minutes had me laughing harder than any movie I’ve seen in years. The dialogue is razor sharp, the timing is flawless, and Alexander England is just magnetic (even while playing a total asshole). You might start to wonder if you’ve accidentally put on the wrong film, since the zombies take their time showing up. But once Lupita Nyong’o appears in that iconic yellow dress, you’ll know you’re in the right case. When the horror finally kicks in, the film trades witty banter for some of the funniest physical comedy I’ve ever seen in a zombie movie. The kid actors are genuinely great, balancing innocence and chaos in a way that makes the whole thing even funnier. Josh Gad, as a deranged children’s TV host, is an unhinged highlight. The satire of the U.S. military is over-the-top and biting in exactly the right way. What really elevates Little Monsters is its sincerity. Beneath the gore and absurdity, there’s a surprising amount of heart. The romantic thread, which at first feels a bit forced, actually lands beautifully once you see how the characters’ pasts inform their choices. And the fact that the actors are really singing and playing their instruments gives it all an authentic, low-fi charm that a lesser movie would’ve faked. It’s hilarious, gory, sweet, and somehow uplifting—a perfect zombie comedy. See more Stacy G. @stacygonzalez25 Oct 11 Somehow this zombie movie was adorable! Medyo ok nung una pero habang tumatagal hanggang ending e naging corny na ang lahat See more Dan D May 19 A funny zombie movie. Zombies love listening to music, especially preschool singalong songs...who knew... See more Chris S May 17 I might be missing something but don't understand the great reviews - it's not remotely scary and beyond cute kids saying swear words it's not that funny. The actors are good though and its silliness has its charms. When he breaks up with Sara, he moves to the house of his older sister Tess (Kat Stewart), who is a single mother that lives with her son Felix (Diesel La Torraca). The boy is well-educated and loves Darth Vader, tractors and the TV show of Teddy McGiggle (Josh Gad) and his frog. Soon, Dave takes Felix to kindergarten, meets his teacher, Miss Audrey Caroline (Lupita Nyong'o) and he feels attracted to her. When he learns that the teacher that will go with Miss Caroline on a field trip cannot go, he offers to replace her. On arrival, they see that Teddy McGiggle is filming a show there. Meanwhile, in an army facility of test, there is a breach, and zombies attack the soldiers and escape to the park where the children are visiting. The park is infested by zombies, and Miss Caroline, Dave and the children seek shelter in a gift shop, where the selfish Teddy is locked up and refuses to open the door. But they succeed in breaking into the shop, and Miss Caroline convinces the children that it is a game. But how to escape from the zombies? “Little Monsters” (2019) is a hilarious, refreshing and very entertaining comedy-horror movie by Abe Forsythe. The plot is incredibly funny, with the excellent performance of Lupita Nyong'o in the role of a kindergarten teacher that does not want her children to be traumatized with the zombie outbreak. The result is magnificent, in a different feature, with gore and humor. Her explanation for each situation, like when she is covered in blood, is amusing. Alexander England is the goodhearted loser and Josh Gad is the villain. My vote is seven.
