No wonder Jo and Amy in all their ambiguities are the ones who leave the strongest impression and offer Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh respectively the opportunity to invest in and dig into their characters with relish.

Every adaption of Little Women has something that sets it apart from others but few have the sheer emotion and power that we see here with Gerwig’s interpretation. Gerwig uncovers secret layers to the plot that lesser filmmakers would have not noticed

This was wonderful to see on a big screen. The actors were well cast, cinematography was beautiful, and I thought the costumes were lovely, although I am not a purist. 1/2 star off because I did not understand the need for going back and forth with the timeline so much.

I saw this movie in theaters back in early 2020. A month after it was released being Christmas, 2019 but man did I enjoy it the first time. I loved it ever since, the vibe, characters, the story, the film look, the music, everything was GREAT. Better yet, it is still GREAT. Rewatching ow in theaters for its rerelease six years later was GREAT to enjoy again.

This movie was a bit slow paced and long, but the story was well told and ultimately inspiring. I saw this with a couple friends in the theater, and it was a fun Ladies' Night movie.
