SkyRo P Livestream, a 2025 horror-suspense thriller, is a film that fell a bit flat for me. It tried to position itself as a horror movie, but honestly, it felt more like a thriller with a few comic elements thrown in — it seemed unsure of what it wanted to be. There were moments where it tried to become a pure shock-flick, then it would suddenly lighten the mood and become campier or more ridiculous. It never quite committed to delivering genuine scares or a sustained feeling of fear, which made it hard to appreciate it as a true horror film. The acting was decent for what it was; there were a few performances that stood out, but many roles felt trivial — the kind of roles you barely remember once the credits roll. It seemed these were less well-developed characters and more placeholders to move the story forward. Furthermore, the film was predominantly in Mandarin and hadn’t been adequately dubbed or subtitled for a wider audience. So unless you speak the language, it’s tough to follow exactly what’s going on, which made it hard to connect with the story or appreciate the actor’s delivery. Some international films do a wonderful job of letting you follow their stories through strong cinematic techniques — you can appreciate character emotions and intentions without needing a literal translation. But Livestream fell short in this department; without proper subtitles or strong visual context, much of its narrative was confusing and distant. Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s a terrible film — there were a few moments that kept me engaged — but it’s not something I’d rush to recommend or watch again. Marketed as a horror movie, it certainly missed the mark in delivering genuine scares or a sinister atmosphere. If you’re a hardcore horror fan looking for a spooky experience, you’d be better off choosing something else. I wouldn't say the acting was bad, because I feel like the director wanted it to feel as "Real life" as possible, so he showed raw emotions like anger and sadness to the audience, as well as to the "viewers" in the show to make it more realistic. Additionally, I didn't quite understand the ending, and a few things in the movie didn't make complete sense to me, but the movie wasn't terrible in my opinion. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review mr s It's not worth the watch. The person Andrew who wrote their review is on point. Really bad acting, but I can't tell if it was the actors fault or the writing was so bad that even the best actors would make this a bad movie. I don't know why people make "horror" and throw out second-grade common sense and force them to make and do stupid, non-realistic things throughout the movie. There are several moments that are stretched way too long for no reason, just to fill up the space to make it a longer movie. I guess their motivation was the Blair Witch Project, but they missed by a long shot. My suggestion is to actually rewatch what you made and be honest with yourself and ask the question, Would I rewatch this? because the answer would be no. I will say the actor who was signing was on point a very good signer. The only thing in the movie that was enjoyable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Andrew S Really bad acting. Wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be a comedy or a horror. Either way it was a howling stinker of a film. The only horror in this was the fact that they released it for people to waste their time watching. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/25 Full Review Leticia N Great movie!! Great entertainment!!
