It requires too much disbelief for me to fully enjoy it. I'm not even entirely sure the ending made sense. It's about a corpse like old woman and an anorexic young girl (both incredibly creepy btw) who move in with a family. The one son, Yasu, is confined to a wheelchair and hears noises so his siblings think he's crazy to begin with. They think him even more crazy when he claims the old woman and girl are torturing him when he is alone with them. It's not really a movie I would consider a gorefest, and most of the torture takes place off screen. I would avoid seeing this unless you absolutely love dumb horror films like Dead Alive. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Haven't seen a bad movie in a while. But I'll probably watch Maplewoods tomorrow, so that could change. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
