Amy Nicholson L.A. Weekly Magically, this story-less montage becomes one of the most cerebral headtrips of Sundance. Living Stars is both dozens of mini-movies and no movie at all. Rated: B Jan 23, 2014 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film It's a simple concept brilliantly realised and viewers may find that they've never had this much fun in a cinema before. Audience Member There is an interesting dichotomy in Living Stars between being asked to dance like no one is watching while everyone is. As a film that is single camera shots of people of all ages and abilities dancing, it shouldn't be as engrossing and entertaining as it is. But the filmmakers have captured what makes dance such a great thing. It is inherent in human DNA. Music makes us want to move and it feels good, regardless of age or ability. That's why Living Stars is so great. It celebrates something that is universally understood and enjoyed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
