Courtney Howard Variety This feature falters in delivering earned, meaningful resonance, and instead gives us puddle-deep platitudes that grace wall plaques found in HomeGoods stores. Jul 2, 2021 Full Review Nicolas Rapold New York Times A sheepish pall steadily creeps over the whole endeavor... Jul 1, 2021 Full Review Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald It's a pretty clunky contrivance and it ends up being more or less a one-man show... Teddy would need to conjure up a considerable amount of charm and he and his conversation are not quite funny or smart enough to make it happen. Rated: 3/5 Feb 17, 2021 Full Review Nadine Whitney Mr. Movie's Film Blog Writer/director Josh Lawson has created a charming and kind film that keeps its pace brisk and entertaining. Audiences invest in Teddy, not only because he’s likable, but in many ways, he’s relatable. Sep 17, 2023 Full Review Rebecca Johnson Film Focus Online Long Story Short is well acted and charming, and though it doesn’t have too much to offer in the comedy department, it makes up for it in heart. Rated: 3/5 Aug 6, 2023 Full Review Jane Freebury The Canberra Times (Australia) Good lead performances and the gift of scenic locations does not lift the screenplay from the underlying problem of its tricky premise nor its flat, strained humour Rated: 2/5 Sep 5, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Danny R Rafe Spall is suffering from the typical "I'm not my dad" syndrome, he tries way to hard to be a good and funny actor and fails miserably, aside from his usual uncharismatic and limited ranged performance, the film lacks charm and on screen chemistry, with an untalented cast ruin a story that had potential. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/20/24 Full Review Hilife Health Care r Lost me before it started. All I can say is forget this one. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review Kyle M Its thematic resonance regarding time palpably encourages the conclusively polishing message under patient, broody effect, charismatically boosted for comedic engagement. (B) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Phil C I really enjoyed this movie. Likeable characters. Nice and light, easy to watch, doesn't make you have to think too hard to pick up the moral of the story. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Lisa D Just the perfect little film for a sense of fun and happiness. Rafe Spall shines in this and I'm sure there's more to come from him. Superb supporting cast. Enough dry humour to keep you chuckling along and enough sentiment to bring a few tears. Really pleased I watched it and found it really thought provoking as the story of Sam resonates with me. Little gem of a film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/21/23 Full Review Sylvia N Funny, exciting, even sad but mostly so much to take from this show!! So many lessons to be learnt I respect all opinions however you'd have to be miserably unhappy to hate this film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
