Audience Member The film really does feel like a soap opera. Aside from the fact that it's got no central protagonist and want to give every character plenty of screen time, often at the expense of the pacing, there's the feeling of drama infused into every scene that feels a bit wearying after a while. Everything's a bit fraught and emotional, although it's to the cast's credit that they manage to pull it off without coming across as too silly. And the whole thing suddenly turns thriller at the end, with gunfights and murders which are certainly a twist, but not one that really keeps up the tone of the film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A heavily clichéd plot that suffers greatly from over-dramatisation and blunt deliver of storyline. So bad is it that even writers of melodrama daytime soaps would find it cringe worthy. Would have perhaps been an adequate piece of gay cinema before the turn of the century, but in these times of finer movies such as The Bubble, Save Me and even, Return to Eden, Lost Everything is a complete waste. In a word: turgid. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
