Audience Member A refreshing coming-of-age comedy that perfectly captures the feel of bygone days with a wonderful '80s soundtrack and a great production design - and it is impressively well edited and evolves into a strong drama centered on family, dreams and choices. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Well paced, funny, touching and well acted. A great film that include a perfect blend of drama and comedy where loose threads are well knit together as well. It's nostalgic and real and you can tell that this is personal stuff from the directors side. Great Israelian film that took me by surprize. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member what a beautiful film reflecting the growing pains of a family and also a nation, Oshri Cohen is especially good in it. defo worth watching... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A quiet and clean-cut movie, sometimes too precious but frequently very smart and cute, about teenage twins growing up in 80's Israel: Opher, a suave (pretend-)sophisticate, at pains to preserve his newborn and already difficult love life, and Erez, the narrator, a thoughtful artistic type, guilty over his possible role in the car accident that crippled his cheating father. They're besieged by these and other domestic problems, as both of them clumsily start new paths to adulthood. The story jumps back and forth from brilliant, tough-minded honesty to overblown young-adult schmaltz; it constructs the clearest verisimilitude and then destroys it seconds later with cringe-worthy pretense. This is sometimes a godsend, to resurrect a bouncy, sloppy naïveté that's otherwise smoked out by a lot of grim plotting. Definitely not what I expected. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
