The new robot is a disappointment. Instead of the endearingly low-tech fireplug of yore that warned Will Robinson of encroaching danger, the new machine is all bells and whistles and no fun at all. Kinda like the movie itself.

I don't understand the hate for this movie. Is it The Godfather? No. But it's a fun, action-packed, family-friendly sci-fi movie. Pros: + Has a great message about the importance of family and sticking together + The robot is a lot of fun + The child actors did a pretty good job + Action scenes are tense and hold up well + Plot generally makes sense and is easy-to-follow, with minimal plot holes + 90's Heather Graham Cons: - William Hurt's acting is quite wooden - Planned sequels sadly never happened, so the movie's ending is a little unsatisfying - Gary Oldman's character is a little too much of a mustache-twirly villain. He refers to himself as "evil" repeatedly in the movie. A little more depth to his character would have been nice.

How in the world did this get a low rating. I loved this show. It's one of my favorite shows. The characters are well written and I really felt for them. The antagonist is irritating as hell. The world building was great, graphics are great. It is an epic adventure.

The acting is terrible. No one has any chemistry, Oldman feels like a James Bond villain out of place, the dialogue alternates between being terrible and flat out boring plot expose. The humor is terrible also. The music is the best thing and that's saying a lot. It's boring, generic, and forgettable most of the time. Everything else is as terrible as the acting. The CGI is horrible and laughably dated, Oversaturated, and some scenes are bordering on Mortal Kombat Annihilation bad like Oldman as the Spider Robot and the Monkey. This alternates between terrible CGI action scenes and boring lifeless plot expose. I know the spider was important but it feels like the 20 minute spider ship could've been cut. This feels like it's 20 minutes too long. Add in some dumb plot twists that are very confusing near the end. I can't recommend this to anyone. This sucks.
