Lost on a Mountain in Maine tells the inspiring true story of 12-year-old Donn Fendler, who becomes separated from his family by a fast moving storm atop a treacherous mountain. For nine days Donn fights to stay alive as he attempts to survive the unforgiving wilderness of northern Maine without food, proper clothing, or the knowledge of how bad his situation really is. His disappearance sparks a massive search effort that captures national headlines and attracts hundreds of volunteers, including his own father who fears he may never see his son again.

i can't believe it based on true story in 1939. I wanna thanks crew and people who share this story and made late old vids part of story like documenty and actor is tough and he should get oscar for best actor and can't image how hard he work on character that wow and shocked me and he been __ miles (you will have to find out) and on the end....(you still have to find out) that was tough story ever

Wonderful film! Instead of the usual diet of big studio sensory overload, this movie develops the relationship between father and son that is at once tense and poignant. It also explores and reinforces the wonder of human tenacity and endurance. Luke David Blumm has an extraordinary rapport with the camera. From despair to innocence and joy, this young actor displays a depth of nuanced understanding of the human heart. He is an absolute joy to watch. Go see this film. Bring your kids!
