For anyone who's not a Francophone tween girl, the film likely will be a tedious, precious exercise in indulgence. Go to Full Review

Quirky and kitsch but this tween flick doesn't quite hang together. Go to Full Review

It's a commercial French picture of the kind that generally doesn't cross the Channel well: a bit DayGlo, a bit cutesy, a bit fey. Go to Full Review

david s Feb 12 Lovely gentle little film sadly impaired by unnecessary use of profanity.Performances are uniformly strong (Lola Lasseron is wonderful ) and imaginative sets and art direction.Camera and quick cutting could have slowed down a bit and let the scenes breathe a bit. See more 05/18/2020 As someone who didnt grow up with the delightfully quirky comic, the live-action movie is a wonderful way to dive into the world of Lou!. The movie itself is much like a teenage version of Amelia. Some of the actors are a bit stiff but the antics of the rest of the cast more then make up for it. Overall, the movie is a fun-filled, whimsical and light, which if you let it, will put a smile on your face.
