The thrill and drama is tasted from the first minute and Brühl, Diehl and Mühe do a really good job but it is somehow slow and the promise of the suspense is not completely delivered. It had potential but it was not totally well developed.

Two friends from school head to the country house for a little R&R. Trouble in sues with a love triangle between a brother, a sister and a mutual friend. It's based on a true story. Well, played. Daniel Bruhl is wonderful actor. Enjoyed his performance very much. This is a film to make sure you see. I will forewarn you that this is a European film, so the content might surprise some people. Though, it is a wonderful film, a must see. www.what-to-watch.com

Me gustÃ³ el hecho de que estÃ¡ basado en hechos reales, la actuaciÃ³n de Daniel Brohl fue muy buena, tambiÃ (C)n la de la actriz que interpretÃ³ a Hilde pues incluso sentÃ que me caÃa super mal si conociera a alguien asÃ. La pelÃcula por ser un drama es algo intensa pero supongo que ese es el fin.

Love in Thoughts is a beautiful and yet tragic tale of a complicated love polygon. Gunther loves Hans, Hans is a player who was the former lover of Gunther whom is now dating Gunther's sister Hilde, Paul who is Gunther's friend has a crush on HIlde, Elli has a crush on Paul. Paul made a pact with Gunther to kill everyone they love if love fails them and trouble ensures. Love in thoughts is based on a true story set in the 1920 of Germany, featuring talented actors like August Diehl, Daniel Bruhl abd Thure Lindhardt. The story was compelling, dialogues beautifully written and deals with political messages.

Refreshingly, for once Cologne-born Daniel Bruhl isn't the prettiest boy in the room, but that doesn't mean he doesn't command the screen in director Achim von Borries' sumptuous examination of the follies of young love.
