Synopsis
Gerardo Latini (Vittorio Gassman) is an actor in search of a role. When his vaudeville performances don't pay the bills, he embarks on a new career as a con artist. He impersonates all sorts of people, learning many tricks from former prison buddy Chinotto (Peppino De Filippo). In one of his greatest coups, he convinces the paparazzi that he's reclusive star Greta Garbo. But his girlfriend, Annalisa (Anna Maria Ferrero), is eager for him to settle down and get married.
