This movie is 100% underrated. Yes it was odd at times, it was also thought provocative. Those who felt different sorry you missed what it was about. It's not out of the norm for a mother, then I've known mothers who name kids differently, and are over the top possessive to the highest extreme like Emily was with her son Paul who she nicknamed Loverboy. I personally recommend watching this movie

This movie was creepy, it stayed with me in a bad way. I love Kyra Sedwick and Kevin Bacon though. Sedwick plays a helicopter mother to her son, she has flashbacks to her creepy childhood a movie to see at your own will. I'd not watch it again kind of a hard watch.

This is hands down one of the most stomach turning pieces of shits I've ever suffered every minute through. A worthless adaption with horrible writing, horrible characters and the most over romantizised, painful and disturbing endings I've ever seen! If I had a hammer and enough time, I would destroy every copy and burn them.
