In spite of the premise that reads more like a "Penthouse" letter, Brooks' controversial romance is much more heart felt and complex in examining both of its characters and their intentions toward one another... Go to Full Review

Alain E @AlainE Nov 26 I suspect people want so much to see a movie featuring lesbians that is not porn, that they are rating highly this crap. Start from the beginning: the protagonist’s mother, a prominent politician, delivers her daughter, who has been kicked out from two high schools, to the door of a Catholic boarding school. The door is locked. They leave the girl outside and she departs in her chauffeured limousine! No need to worry that a girl with this past is going to get in any trouble. In the Catholic school the girls wear tank tops and smoke openly. One of the teachers enters the chapel wearing a tank top! I married a Catholic and have attended mass a few times. Sadly, the dress code was different. I gave up halfway, before I started screaming at my flat screen. "Blue is the warmest color" is an excellent movie about lesbian relationships with excellent cinematography. It contains explicit sex scenes, which however are not pornographic. Cause this is unfair and beautiful See more Zahara B Dec 12 This movie was very melancholic and artistic and gentle, but the ending was most definitely incomplete.
