Audience Member This is a very taut, informative doc about the making of the truly wonderful film 'Loving Vincent', the tribute to Vincent Van Gogh using an extraordinary, innovative approach to bring to life in a sense Van Gogh's paintings on the cinema screen. It covers the technical side as well as actors and others who portrayed figures in many of Van Gogh's best-known works, as well as the stories behind getting the production made and the efforts once it was given the financial backing it needed. It's a lovely doc, and at an hour in length, it's an easy watch as well. 3.3 stars Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Frances H An amazing achievement in filmmaking, with such stunning visual punch that leaves you breathlessly seeing Van Gogh's paintings come to life, and a storyline that covers th aspects of Vincent's last days and the mystery of his death. One of the best films I've seen in many years! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/06/21 Full Review Audience Member Very good documentary which will interest those who loved LOVING VINCENT Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie in general is really cool and I loved seeing my favorite Van Gogh paintings come to life, but the storyline was really boring. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review l g A teeny bit shallow, but what the heck. The project - film this is about was just outstanding and worth revisiting in a different light. If you didn't see the animated film "Loving Vincent" and don't work in the disiplines/industry that created it, you MUST give a MAJOR hoot about Vincent Van Gogh to give a hoot about this offering. Watched at an Independent Art-house that I am a paid member of. One of the benefits is cheaper tickets to all showings. Fandango would have been $2.50+, so I'll have to remain "unverified".
