Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com If not a great movie, it's just good enough to make me curious to see what the filmmaker has up his sleeve next. More importantly, it helps make his thoughtfully meditative debut worthy of a look. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 6, 2019 Full Review Peter Debruge Variety Kevin McMullin channels the feel of Stephen King's 'Stand by Me,' along with various noir-toned '80s films, in this coming-of-age thriller. Oct 5, 2019 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com A confident debut. Rated: 3/4 Oct 4, 2019 Full Review Josh Parham Next Best Picture Without the strong filmmaking behind it, the film would be nowhere near as engaging as it is. Rated: 6/10 Jun 4, 2022 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Low Tide is a crime thriller, but the movie is also a compelling look at how these boys make decisions that will have a profound effect on the type the men that they will become. Jul 12, 2020 Full Review Isaac Feldberg Fortune It's a film that doesn't overstay its welcome but never really announces itself either. Nov 21, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Mick V Pirate story, not bad. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Eli B Low Tide is not an entirely forgettable experience. The movie's visual style, and performances from Keean Johnson and Shea Whigham, offer fleeting glimpses of promise. However, it ultimately fails to capitalize on that same potential, succumbing to a derivative plot and uninspired character decisions. A deep cut in the A24 catalog worth seeing for fans of the studio. It was a little predictable but still worth the watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review davidson i outstanding slow grind under the radar film. Loved it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/23 Full Review Stoner J What a fantastic debut thriller/drama from McMullin, can't wait to see what's next in his repertoire. Kinda half coming of age teen flick but mostly paranoid thievery friend thriller, really good!
