resin n The way I see it, only one of the shorts in Lust Stories 2, is really about lust at all. That'll be the one made my Konkona Sen Sharma—The Mirror. That is the one I am really rating. The others have little to do with lust or sexuality, but aren't bad short films. The Mirror, however has a very new perspective on sexual voyeurism within employee-employer relationships in an Indian metropolis. Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash are fantastic. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review arvind s I would not be doing justice to Konkona Sensharma if I call Lust Stories 2 a trainwreck because her film, The Mirror is one of the best things I have ever watched. So, in other words a Lust 'Story' dominates over the others. The Worst - Despite of brimming with talent in front of & behind the camera, the other three shorts do not come close to The Mirror. The worst is R. Balki's ft. Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi & Neena Gupta. They could have done a lot more with this but they decided to play it safe and the end result is no Mt. Fuji. The much talked about Vijay Verma-Tamannaah short by Sujoy Ghosh gives away the climax at the very beginning itself. It stands out like a sore thumb. The chemistry between the pair is excellent but what it makes up for in the lust factor, it loses in poor/tacky making. The better of the three is definitely the Kajol - Kumud Mishra short. Again, it had a lot of potential but falls short delivering a shocking climax on its way out. The highlight of the anthology, The Mirror features two of the best artists we have right now: Tillotama Shome & Amruta Subhash. It hits the bullseye with the perfect amount of kink to earn the stamp of a Lust Story classic. Konkona Sen's talent knows no bounds as she continues to impress behind the camera as well. Amruta is a maid at Tillotama Shome's home and one day when the latter returns home from work, she finds her maid passionately making love to her husband on her bed. And she witnesses this through a mirror. There is a heated exchange between the two leads & that scene alone deems this short an epic. It's clear then, watch The Mirror (2nd short in the anthology) and skip the rest. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Priyang D only 1 of the stories was good rest three were sh** especially the tammana one its purely senseless Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/17/23 Full Review pradeep s You keep losing interest half way through each story. Predictable endings{not conclusions, there are none}. its alright if you keep zoning in and out, dont recommend if you intend to watch it. Conclusion {which the movie lacked }, dont judge a book by its cover. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/09/23 Full Review Naila I The previous one was better, there was no head or tail to this whole film. The film was just about nudity and sex, the scriptwriters have completely lost their touch. It is surprising how much trouble Kajol had to go through to do this. Complete waste of time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/08/23 Full Review Gururaj S Seeing A list actors in these movies can't digest, Tamanna seen so many movies of her since her debut, but doing these kind not sure what happened to her, is it 💰 these actors agree to so such movies, ki Paisa boltha hai, it's just adaptation of western culture about sex content. Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express The film doesn't believe in showing us anything more than the doors closing, and not even two flowers nodding. Jul 13, 2023 Full Review Prathyush Parasuraman Film Companion This film wants a pat on its back for being willing to have this conversation. You can feel it shimmying its shoulders towards you for that thump... Oct 25, 2023 Full Review Archika Khurana The Times of India By addressing these topics, the anthology aims to foster conversations about sexuality and gender, highlighting the importance of recognising and honouring women's desires. Watchable for its efforts and sincere performances. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 25, 2023 Full Review Lachmi Deb Roy Firstpost Kajol with her brilliant expressions of her eyes and minimal dialogues makes us understand the story of lust and how she plans to deal with her lecherous husband who doesn’t spare the maids in the house. Oct 25, 2023 Full Review Saibal Chatterjee NDTV The storytelling isn't always lusty. But when it is, there is enough zest in here for the occasional creases not to get in the way.
