Luster has a charming, skittish quality, and Lewis finds pathos and humor in his characters' often painful search for love. Go to Full Review

Surprisingly bland considering the outrageousness of many of the situations. Go to Full Review

If Mr. Lewis intends Luster as a gay romantic fantasy, the fantasy is entirely one-sided. Go to Full Review

So bad in a special gay, L.A. way that it's almost an inept classic of its kind. Go to Full Review

02/05/2014 Breaking out of the 90's grunge scene comes a group of sex-fueled "punks" who's love of music and genitalia come together to bring you Luster. The movie opens with a pile of naked flesh on a bed (which is on the DVD cover/poster), we meet the main protagonist Jackson, and his prominent, crazy blue hair. Slipping to the bathroom and out the door he goes to work, where we then meet the other main character, Sam, Jackson has been living with Sam for some time now, long time friends, Sam takes Jackson under his wing to keep him right. While skating about laying CD's out on the shelves (and yes, literally skating) Jackson bumps into this curious guy who evidently falls for him immediately, although, Jackson is more interested in the straight guy he met last night at the orgy to even notice him. Jackson leaves to goto a meeting, this is where we find out that he is an aspiring poet/song writer and he is meeting with this stereotypical Hollywood hotshot to show him his new work. Without spoiling too much the rest of the movie is basically Jackson chasing this boy he met the night before just to find out the deep secrets behind him. Quirky, funny, romantic and disturbing at times, this film is a must see for anyone who's interests would peak at the thought of a punky LGBT teen romance set in the underground scene of LA See more 02/08/2013 Great movie but could of been a lot better. It kind of has bad acting, with characters you wish were not there but overall pretty good. See more 05/11/2011 I put this movie on because I wanted to see Norman Reedus for the minute he's there. I thought it'll be a total waste, the beginning was slow and uninteresting, but then it got better. Don't know about the acting, but they delivered the message. It had a bland story line. The annoying repeated same-word voice-overs drove me crazy!! See more 12/08/2009 fill with despite, but the end is not fo bad. I wish Jackson can be together with his cousin. jckson is so handsome and good body. See more Read all reviews
