It expect single mothers to turn to illicit behaviours as means of survival and claim it's about feminism. As a lifelong fan of Madhuri Dixit, I am incredibly proud of her. She once again proves why she is one of the finest actresses in Indian cinema. The movie does an excellent job of exposing the double standards that women face every day. I find it surprising that some people dismiss this movie as "crap." In many ways, that reaction reinforces the very attitudes the film is critiquing. Maa Behen isn’t meant to be a mindless comedy—it’s a satire that challenges deeply ingrained beliefs and social norms. If someone walks away only seeing the surface-level humor and misses the commentary on sexism, judgment, and gender expectations, they may have missed the point the filmmakers were trying to make.
