Frank H. Wu Film Inquiry The sentiments inspired by this documentary are as genuine as its subject. The feeling is earned, not some sort of false sweetness. Jul 25, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Nice documentary on the premier female Country singer in Japan. Yup, there is such a thing. Tomi Fujiyama (Yamaji Tomoko) is hoot, watching this tiny old force of nature and her attempt to return to the stage of the Grand Ole Opry (she played in 1964, the first--and likely only--Japanese Country Artist to do so). Not a perfect documentary but a fun underdog story. And Tomi can play some guitar too! Hope I'm half that fleet-fingered in my Sunset years!
