Stephen Romei The Australian This faithful adaptation of [Alison Lester's] book teems with imagination, something we have in spades as children but can lose sight of as we grow older. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 18, 2025 Full Review Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald It’s for young children -- a mixture of live-action and animation -- but moves at a much gentler pace than the whizbang offerings that define the market for kids’ films these days. Rated: 3/5 Jan 18, 2025 Full Review Luke Buckmaster Guardian This is a film about nature and creation; the amazing world around us and the art we use to reflect its awesomeness. Rated: 4/5 Jan 18, 2025 Full Review David Griffiths Subculture Entertainment A beautiful, beautiful film but the question must be asked will modern day children want to sit through the film? This almost feels like a film designed for the adults that grew up with this film. Rated: 3/5 Feb 2, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Emily P Mash together of disjointed films by art students who's perception of the beach was difficult to relate to. One or two of the short stories were stand alone enjoyable but each of my three primary school aged kids felt uncomfortable with what the 'grown ups' thought kids thought a beach was like. Last video was even a psychodellic trip through the ocean leaving my kids wondering what they were watching. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Emily M This is the worst movie I have ever watched. It was so bad even my 6 year old commented that the people who made it didn't know what they were doing. Boring. No storyline. Drawn out 70s style cartoons that were painful to watch littered through out. Indulgent symbolism that didn't really make any sense. Very little dialogue. Poor acting. Really incoherent. Don't waste your time or money. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Mary V Disjointed and no fun for kids .. give this a miss Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/25 Full Review Read all reviews
