The story of Marisa Ventura (Jennifer Lopez), a single mother born and bred in the boroughs of New York City, who works as a maid in a first-class Manhattan hotel. By a twist of fate and mistaken identity, Marisa meets Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes), heir to a political dynasty, who believes that she is a guest at the hotel. Fate steps in and throws the pair together for a magical night of romance. When Marisa's true identity is revealed, the two find that they are worlds apart.

Fiennes is at a disadvantage, an actor, not a comedian... Lopez is a perfectly efficient comedienne. But mixed together, they're a few retorts short of a chemistry lesson.

Such a great story and told so well. I don't like a lot of rom-coms but this one won me over completely. I love the chemistry between Fiennes and Lopez during the courtship before the reveal, I thought it was perfect. Especially considering the class difference, I loved how they played the cat and mouse game between different castes before the reveal and especially after the reveal.. I mean, that may not be real life reaction but it was perfect in this movie and what all of us hope would happen if you really found true love no matter your job or station ect.. Fiennes was perfect as was Lopez in all her interactions with him after the reveal, genius really - Once he found out, And the story of rags to riches was done so well. Such a fun watch.
