Malibu Horror Story follows a team of amateur paranormal investigators as they delve into a 10 year old unresolved case, the disappearance of four popular high school boys on graduation night. I had seen an early, perhaps unfinished stream of this film in January 2021 and liked it then well enough to see it in theatre. I'm glad I did! The film is very well done all around - plot, pace, acting cinematography etc.

Once the scary parts kicked in it was a good ride. Exceptional visuals for a lower budget film. Good for a matinee or on home tv, as I'm used to 2 hour movies now and it's not that. The actors did a great job. No flaws in my book except length.
