Claudio C Malicious (2023) Flawed but Tense Revelations (11,999 – 17 Oct 2025– by Claudio Carvalho) Governor William “Will” McCabe (Nick Baillie) travels to a house by the lake with his wife Lauren McCabe (Melissa Anschutz) and her daughter Erin (Alix Lane) to spend a weekend in family. Lauren is a submissive woman that satisfies Will’s whims and Erin is rebel with her stepfather. While preparing dinner, the stranger Jesse (Kevin Interdonato) knocks at the door and says that his car has broken down, and he needs a phone to call the mechanic. Lauren and Erin invite him to enter the house and have dinner with the family. They drink together and soon the family is drugged and sleep. When they wake up, they are tied up to a sofa and Jess wants that Will respond three questions to him; otherwise, his family and he will suffer consequences. “Malicious” (2023) is a good thriller, with a flawed and tense story of revelations and truth. The plot has at least two great holes, since nobody hears the shootout and does not explain who Michael and Gary are. However, the acting is good, and the plot point surprises many viewers. My vote is seven. The story was very clever, and Kevin Interdonato was fantastic. The way he blended charming and cruel was really engaging. And he has some great moments where he suddenly jumps into a level of intensity that, even though he builds up to it very gradually, it is still enjoyably shocking when he brings it on. Fair warning: the production quality is horrible. The sound quality and foley sounds are really low budget. And the acting by everyone other than Interdonato was mediocre and, in some cases, really bad. I think Nick Baillie was cast in a role way above his skill level -- I think he did his best, but the part of William would have benefited from better chops. And the beginning drags quite a bit. So, there are a lot of problems. And yet the story and Interdonato's performance lift this one up to a 4.5 star show for me. I would pay just to watch this for the first time over again in theaters. I love suspense. The ending was shocking and the movie touched my heart in the best way possible. My god if there was a part 2 to this movie i would 100% watch it without a doubt in mind.
