James One of the best horror movies I have seen in years!! Easily in my top of all time! I love the dark atmosphere. And the unpredictable of the movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Google I liked the new theatric feeling, higher quality resolution, and bigger budget. But it failed to deliver many scary scenes. They had room for more creepy scenes and the antagonist didn't look as scary as in the original. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/14/23 Full Review Sarah This was so demonic👎 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/07/23 Full Review Jeffrey P Relentless and Gore. Consistent Jump scares! Amazing horror film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/23 Full Review Joe W I went into this blind. All I saw was the trailer & knew it was a remake type movie of the Last Shift. Trailer didn't even look that good. So went in with low expectations. This will go down as a highly underrated movie sadly. Theater was pretty empty. The opening & ending was shocking. I'd say this is more of a psychological horror rather than a straight up horror. Only a few jump scares but you could tell when it was going to be one of you watch horror movies at all. It was creepy, had Silent Hill & Outlast vibes. If you've played those you know the feel. I will buy this on Blu-ray when it comes out. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/23 Full Review Brendon W MY TYPE OF HORROR MOVIE. YOU COULD HEAR EVERYONE IN THE THEATER EXCLAIMING THIS CREATION WHEN IT ENDED Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Matt Zoller Seitz RogerEbert.com "Malum" is [most] impressive when it turns its talented ensemble cast loose on material that was obviously a lot of fun to play with. Rated: 3/4 Apr 4, 2023 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle Malum has enough budget to be too glossy to be gutter fun, and adds little visually much beyond some very mediocre practical effects, often feeling that – yet again – its ambitions outstripped its grasp. Rated: 2/5 Mar 31, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews I'm afraid the new version, despite a bigger budget and added scares, is not better than the old version-just more glossy. Rated: B- May 21, 2023 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex While Malum still offers plenty of frights, it struggles to get out of the shadow of Last Shift. Yet it undeniably features impeccable craft from beginning to end. Rated: 6/10 May 17, 2023 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Malum is not very original, it can get repetitive, and some of the acting is amateurish from the supporting cast members. However, the movie excels at some terrific horror visuals, and the lead performances carry the movie during its weaker moments. Apr 6, 2023 Full Review Alex Maidy JoBlo's Movie Network From solid physical effects to some more unique creature designs in recent memory, Malum is awash in creeps and horrors. It may not be the most original or unique horror movie of the year, but it is a step above most of what is out there. Rated: 7/10 Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
