The movie excels in what it does best – action. Whether it’s the blistering rhythm or the tactical precision, the action sequences are thrilling and often make us feel as if we’re observing the real thing. Go to Full Review

We're not here for the news, we're here for the action, and Man of War delivers it in spades Go to Full Review

Man of War is an action movie so dull and predictable, it makes you wonder if at least part of this movie was written by low-quality artificial intelligence. It's another mind-numbing plot about a military veteran rescuing a damsel in distress. Go to Full Review

While the relentless firefights should satisfy fans of military action films, uneven visual effects and confusing editing keep the movie from reaching its full potential. Go to Full Review

Garrett generates a rooting interest through resilience and brute force, although as it funnels toward an inevitably chaotic final showdown, the film’s suspense doesn’t escalate alongside the bullets and body count. Go to Full Review

Thanks to the efforts of William Kaufman and crew, it delivers an entertaining slice of gritty cinematic combat that you can enjoy as a kick-ass action movie or as something with more on its mind, even if it has trouble articulating that. Go to Full Review

Slick R @SlickReviewer 2d The plot is not original at all but at least the camera work and the acting is acceptable since Lamonica Garrett is a veteran on the screen. This is a whole lot better than another crap military movie out right now, Land of Wolves. Decent B movie. See more Michael Y @budae_jjigae Aug 22 The same roster of shots are used all throughout the film, and it significantly cuts into the supposed 'intensity' this movie is desperately trying to find. The music is either not there when it should be there, plays 5-10 seconds after an established conflict begins, or is so underwhelmingly 'intense' over battle scenes and emotional moments. Whoever wrote the score for this movie did a huge disservice to whatever the cinematography attempted to establish. The main protagonist, Connor, cannot do anything but keep a stern face, and his buddy Dany is just as terrible where the only way he knows how to convey deep emotion is by gritting his teeth and speaking tensely. This movie does not establish any emotional attachment to any character whatsoever, and does not explain the relationships between characters at all besides Connor's niece. It had potential to just be another war movie you watch for fun, but instead it drains 2 hours out of your life that you'll wish you could get back. See more Marc Z @TKDLife Aug 16 This is a well paced, modern war film set in the backdrop of the early days of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. LaMonica Garrett play a soldier that marks on a journey to reduce his adopted daughter from Russian captors. His performance is a cross between Eastwood and Michael Jai White. He does a good job commanding the screen. The film itself is fast moving and action packed. The movie is well directed and well filmed. The visual perspectives utilized in the cinematography create engaging viewing for the audience. Kaufman does a good job of creating a cinematic fell that exceeds what I expect the budget of this film is. Andrew Howard is sharp. His performance is solid. Daniel Bernhardt stars in the role of the villain. What can I say about Bernhardt aside from the fact that he never phones it in and always brings high intensity to his villainous roles. He is an underrated action star. His physical acuity is only matched by his acting prowess. He makes any role memorable. See more Mirza M @mirzabaig890 Aug 6 'Man of War' is a relentless warzone thriller that cements LaMonica Garrett as a commanding new force in action cinema. See more Scott P @TacFrog Jul 31 In true Kaufman style, this was a "Shoot’em-up" of the highest order! Lamonica Garret is a beast, the rest of the cast played their parts well and were believable, and the plot was righteous. If you like great fight scenes, sustained gunfights, and hardcore, gritty, ACTION… don’t miss Mr Kaufman’s latest masterpiece! See more R T @RT99255311 Jul 28 From the opening scene until the credits roll this flick has you hooked!! Lamonica Garret is awesome as the driven hero Hell bent on saving his niece . The Action is off the charts and Daniel Bernhardt plays an incredible villain. The film is directed incredibly by Will Kaufman, he paints the scenes with High Octane Action while letting the audience breathe with heart felt moments. SEE THIS MOVIE!!! See more Read all reviews
