Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Although sexy and scenic, the Peruvian road movie Mncora lacks the heart and soul required to fully invest in its central trio's free-floating journey of self-discovery. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 19, 2009 Full Review Todd McCarthy Variety Like a poor cousin to Y tu mama tambien. Feb 13, 2008 Full Review Justin Lowe The Hollywood Reporter A taut, stylish drama...represents a noteworthy sophomore feature from the Peruvian director. Jan 24, 2008 Full Review Don Willmott Filmcritic.com worth watching simply because it's full of (good-looking) people you'd never otherwise meet who take you to a place you'd never otherwise go Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 18, 2010 Full Review Nicolas Rapold L.A. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Pelicula Peruana...Mancora, una playa bravaza Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A great road movie with a more than lovely Elsa Petaky, who really makes you fall in love with her and the movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member If you don't like weekend benders, threesomes or surf towns, this is not your movie. And we probably shouldn't hang out anymore. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked this movie an okay plot, nice view of Peru, the acting was decent from all actors and felt them in a way. There is unexpected presence of Schiavo in the film, but its not quite realistic, but the best thing about this movie was the strong message. So for this being a good foreign film to watch I give "Mancora" a C. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member has all the elements of a road movie - amazing landscape, surf, sex, drugs, beautiful people, a hitch hiker, and good music. It's on Netflix Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
