I didn't know what to expect when I watched it for the first time and that's the perfect way to go into it! Nicolas Cage is absolutely bonkers but in a bloody glorious way! I will see every film this director makes based solely on this!

This is a psychedelic fueled revenge boner at its finest. I love how it doesn't handhold and explain everything. It's full of wildness, and ferocity, and doused in LSD. Cage at his finest in years. I couldn't recommend it enough. The first part was quite slow, but it had to be to set up the tone of the film and show how it's told through visual storytelling more than anything else.

Not for everyone but if you let yourself transported, it's close to a masterpiece. It's unique, it's art, it's a living painting of love, loss, sorrow, pain and vengeance. I loved it. The soundtrack is absorbing, the effects are hypnotizing, the story is compelling. It's so refreshing to see horror still being at the forefront of experimental filmmaking. Some of the greatest directors emerged from that genre and I can't wait to see what holds Panos's future. Nicolas Cage is fantastic as usual.

Beautifully-shot film, although sometimes the use of processed grain and lens flares were distracting. The second half was exactly what I wanted, but the first half is a bit slow.
