Wendy Ide The Times (UK) Cage is utterly in his element. Aug 5, 2022 Full Review Ben Sachs Chicago Reader I didn't much care for the film, but I can see how it might appeal to gorehounds and fans of genre cinema. Mar 4, 2020 Full Review Chris Stuckmann ChrisStuckmann.com Beautifully-shot film, although sometimes the use of processed grain and lens flares were distracting. The second half was exactly what I wanted, but the first half is a bit slow. Rated: B Nov 20, 2018 Full Review David Day Horror Movie Talk It starts in the woods in 1983 and ends up in some crazy fantasy land that I don’t understand, but I love it nonetheless. Rated: 8/10 Aug 8, 2025 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene A revenge melodrama that practically pulsates with human agony while radiating a psychological/surreal intensity that is simultaneously seductive and repellant. This might be great filmmaking. It might be trash. I could make a case for either. Michael D. Many is a hypnotic, blood-soaked descent into madness where color and violence become their own language. The neon-drenched palette saturates every frame, making the gore feel both nightmarish and strangely beautiful, like violence painted in ultraviolet. The film’s hallucinatory rhythm keeps you unsteady, blurring the line between reality and trip, while its occult undertones give every ritual, every scream, a mythic weight. It’s not just horror—it’s a full-body experience, equal parts psychedelic and brutal, and one of the most unforgettable genre films of the decade. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/25 Full Review Paul D. This is one the best horror / revenge films of the last 20 years. Creatively and painstakingly filmed, Nicolas Cage is perfectly cast in this surreal, visually rich, psychedelic, DMT, ketamine and cocaine fueled masterpiece. Each scene is made with a certain drugs effects prevalent until the end when revenge boils over to an unbelievable climax. Extremely graphic and hard hitting - this ain't for casual fans of the genre. Destined to be a cult classic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/25 Full Review Vaughn R Tonight we watched this one. 'MANDY' Brief synopsis; Red & Mandy are very much in love. After Mandy is spotted by a radical, acid fuelled religious freak, Mandy is taken to recruit but burned in front ov Red. From then on, Red (Cage) has nothing on his mind but straight up revenge in an acid soaked, very psychedelic fashion. Outrageous and visually striking. Wonderfully filmed and great cinematography. Quality performance from Nicolas Cage. Some very entertaining practical gore effects. Riddled with sacrilege and satanic overtones. So over thee top it's very enjoyable. Only issue with this was it took 25mins to kick into action. After that though... Quality. Also nice to see a high level nudity warning that ends up being male nudity. That's not usually thee case. This will be a Cult Classic for many years to come. Vaughn Roxx gives this 4 Stars ☆☆☆☆ Sun Angel Roxx gives this 4 Stars ☆☆☆☆ Total 8 Stars out ov 10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Definitely worth a look. Enjoy 🤙😎 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/28/25 Full Review Gage H This is hell raiser on massive amounts of LSD. Nicholas cage gives a stellar performance running through the entire spectrum of human emotions. Almost all of his takes are in one shot too which shows his talent. The high intensity color and synth wave sound track are used to progress the movie forward more than dialogue is. This is peak resurgence era of Nicholas Cage. Enjoy him spiraling into madness while he can still dish it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/18/25 Full Review Dejah S A cool, dream-like, yet action packed movie. Slow start but man, does it pick up! I catch myself thinking about it a lot. The King Crimson soundtrack is *chef's kiss* Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/16/25 Full Review CaptainBoulder T A movie with phenomenal acting that'll make you feel like your on drugs Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/16/25 Full Review Read all reviews
