Sahooon C I almost gave it a 5 but I did enjoy the first one more than most. This is a sequel that gives sequels a bad name... A sequel just for the money. You are'nt missing much by doing yourself a favour and staying away. At least the credits got a catchy song hahah Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review Ryan P Amazing! I love this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review brad p Maniac Cop 2 embodies all of the excess that made ‘80s horror sequels so great (well, a lot of them anyway). The stunt work alone is outstanding, but when you add in Cohen's tight script, a bunch of stellar performances, and one shockingly violent scene after the next it's apparent why fans of the series continually point to this entry as the apex. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Maniac Cop 2 is really good sequel and still entertaining and the stunts are really amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/22 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly better then the original the film really has a lot of shocking scenes with amazing stunt scenes. It's sadly not as good with the political undertones of the original. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/27/22 Full Review Liam D A More Bombastic and action pack Thriller that Matthew Cordell into a Slasher Icon Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/10/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Clayton Dillard Slant Magazine Killing off a main character so early encapsulates how Lustig and Cohen treat the moving pieces of genre filmmaking as a push and pull between convention and unpredictability. Nov 30, 2021 Full Review Simon Abrams Village Voice The plot - Robert Davi's stoic detective and Claudia Christian's pushy psychologist hunt an undead lawman (Robert Z'Dar) - is pretty dull, but the film handily coasts on sleazy charm.
