John Serba Decider The ambition and talent that goes into Manifest West eclipse its narrative messiness... May 9, 2023 Full Review Jonita Davis The Black Cape (Medium) 'Manifest West' does offer some great commentary on mental health and the point when protection becomes harmful. Rated: 3 of 5 Mar 14, 2023 Full Review Michael Talbot-Haynes Film Threat Manifest West is a drama that breaks through the mythology of the family picture to reach something much more primal. Pack up some provisions and start hiking to find it. Rated: 8/10 Jan 12, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews It turns out to be a more sober and self-reflective film than I expected. But is uneven, has too many dull moments and is not that provocative. Rated: C+ Jan 10, 2023 Full Review Carey-Ann Pawsey Orca Sound Really the only reasons to take the time to watch the film is the curiosity factor of watching Mel Gibson’s son to see what kind of actor he is. Plus the two young actresses, who turn in better/more realistic performances than all of the adults. Rated: 2/5 Dec 13, 2022 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …with a focus on the POV of a young female character, Manifest West is a more sensitive work that the Wrong Turn-lite posters promise… Rated: 3/5 Nov 30, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Eddie O Movie on how the government tries to steal your kids. Good movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/23 Full Review Angie A A decent movie compared to other garbage that has been made lately... Story plot is slightly unrealisted but I can see some crazy people trying to live like main characters... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review len s Good acting. Pretty good story about a young family going off the grid to try and deal with the mom's mental issues. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review harris r Rookie filmmaking mistakes aside, this was better than I expected. Novice filmmaker duo, co-writers and co-directors Joe Dietsch and Louie Gibson were excellent in directing their cast, gave us beautifully shot scenes and cinematography, but had the writing been much tighter, this film could've been outstanding. For starters, all casting and performances were exceptional - they felt very convincing and real, even the little girls. The score was excellent and complimented the scenes perfectly. Going into this, the promotional description for this film was "a coming of age" story, which it was, but it was also a lot more that was too subtle to make this film great. The narrative was too uneven and incohesive with its subplots, which left many plot holes. It tried biting off more than it chewed in its 91 min runtime. Had the pacing been better, and some irrelevant scenes omitted and others expanded with more depth - even if an extra 15-20 mins were added, it would've made a huge difference. Nevertheless, a great one-time watch that will provoke many thoughts long after the film is over. It's a 7.5 rounded up to an 8/10, specifically for the exceptional performances and rookie mistakes forgiven to the novice filmmaker duo. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review jan e Great film. I hope the American authorities really wouldn't terrorise and shoot an innocent family like that in real life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review J.R. C Good movie, great cast. Feels like what a lot of people are going through right now in the world. Recommend. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/15/22 Full Review Read all reviews
